The 9th Annual Conference of the Pancyprian Association of Professional Insurance Intermediaries (PSEAD) took place in May at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre, focusing on key European trends affecting the insurance sector.
PSEAD, the premier professional association representing and safeguarding the interests of insurance intermediaries, plays a crucial role in advising and educating its members. The association also works closely with regulators, state authorities, consumer organisations, and other stakeholders to address significant industry issues. Insurance intermediation is governed by a strict regulatory framework established by European Directives, and PSEAD members are committed to upholding a rigorous code of professional ethics and conduct.
At the conference, our partner Nikolas Kyriakides delivered a presentation on the legislative framework for protecting whistleblowers. His talk covered the definition of whistleblowers, the protective measures available to them, and the penalties for violating the relevant legislation, offering valuable insights from a legal perspective.
In addition to these presentations, several other distinguished speakers contributed valuable insights on evolving insurance regulations, digital transformation, and strategies for maintaining client relationships in a dynamic market.
The PSEAD congress provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions, offering attendees a comprehensive look at the current and future landscape of the insurance industry.
